Rugby 7s

Rugby 7s is an exciting version of Rugby 15s, played with 7 players on each team.  7s is played on the same full sized field as 15s, but the total match time is 14 minutes, with 7 minute halves.  In 7s there is more space for players to run with the ball and be more creative with open field play.  Playing 7s can help develop ball handling skills and running with the ball in hand.  Rugby 7s is the newest Olympic sport that will debut in Rio de Janerio, Brazil in 2016.

There are two opportunities for high school and U19 teams to play 7s in Michigan this summer:
The State Games of Michigan on June 23 and Grand Rapids Hard Rock 7s on July 21.

See the Calendar page for a complete schedule of 7s tournaments around the Midwest this summer!
